Good luck to all competitors of the 2007 Victoria Nationals! We (WSC Pirates) have been overwhelmed with requests to supply our own proven updates for this weekends affairs.  Our (under contract!) roving reporters will send us updates throughout the weekend to be posted on the most up-to-date website around.   Keep checking the Pirates of Woodlawn website for Eric Gregory's (webmaster extraordinaire!) explosive reports!!!!

All,
It may be over on the lake but the view, opinions, interviews, and laughs will always be around in the archives of the Woodlawn Sailing Club's website! As of tonight there will be a few more post, so keep checking in thru-out the week as Eric Gregory finds the time, after a very busy weekend, of providing all the up to the hour updates with results. And of course I need to do a "shout out" to our roving reporter, Mark Cooper. He did an outstanding job calling in reports
while trying to race himself, for this we greatly appreciate it.   As you may already know we have been doing coverage of Victoria Nationals like this for a couple years now and every year we like to step it up a notch and introduce something new. Well if you like what you read/heard this time wait till next year. As the host of the 2008 Victoria US Nationals we plan to keep with tradition and introduce not only wireless internet coverage in real time, but we will also have a Personal Operated Video (POV) Camera with live real time video operated by you, the spectator at home. We tested today at the lake with no glitches and great resolution.  This will also be in operation in two weeks at the Victoria Region 5 Championship/Alamo Classic Regatta. This event is being billed as our "Pre-Show" and will be our (WSC) test event for 2008 Victoria Nationals scheduled for Columbus Day Weekend October 10-12, 2008. It may be a year away, but planning and acquiring Sponsorship has already started here in San Antonio.  365 days and counting down!!!
If you've had a chance to check the WSC's website coverage, please let us know what you think, either through this site, our "Hacker Forum", or e-mail directly to me at Ray Seta, Commodore. We want to supply the best weekend coverage for all the Vic Skippers that couldn't make to the event. And allow the skippers that did attend re-live the fun when they get home.
To Geoff Becker, Peter Siek, and Hew Hamilton, congratulation on yawls accomplishment and superior sailing!!! Hope to see you Yankees down south next year. I'll see you Hew on the starting line in two weeks....lol....!

The Pirates of Woodlawn Unveil Their New Promotional Super Weapons!!!!!!
Thanks to J.O. and the Folks at Time Warner Cable, web updates for the 2007 Region 5 Championship Victoria Regatta will be posted wirelessly from the lake along with real time video from our Personal Operated Video (POV) Camera which can be controlled by you, the spectator at home!

Saturday, September 22nd, 7:27am -  Morning All.  Difficult to keep you all up to date by the minute but sailing has been good so far and winds are forecasted to be up today so things should pick up. Standing are really moving around as competition is  strong. You definitely have to bring your A Game.
We have sailed 6 races so far of A & B Fleets with 1 throw out so  far. Geoff is sailing well but Hew and some others are right there. You really need to try and stay in the A heat as best as  possible because the scrabble from the B is tough. 4 up and 4 down. Will do my best to phone in some more updates today as time allows.  Stay tuned to the Woodlawn site and this will give you all the news  that you need.
I am going to just do TOP 10 to save time.   Will use the internet when time allows to drop a note.
Dinner last night was dutch at Bakers and drinks were a plenty and good camaraderie by all.   Day 2 starts in just a couple of hours so talk/e-mail to you all later.
