Friday, October 5th, 7pm - 9pm -  "Dutch" Dinner at Veronica's Nachito was a wonderfully pleasant experience.  Easy to get to, inexpensive and sweet watress', what more could we have asked for.  This years Fri-Night Dinner was full of discussion about the 07 Nats, lessons learned and suggestions for making the 2008 Nat's being held here at beautiful  Woodlawn lake the greatest spectacular of the age!

Friday, October 5th, 6pm -  Its one hour till dinner so we are going to wind down the show.   We'll post another update and pictures tonight after the party's over.   The good thing for you at home is that the Pirate Cam will be running all night long.  Party on Dudes....lol.

Friday, October 5th, 5:50pm -  The power will be down for 15 minutes so our electrician can add some additional wiring.  The website and Pirate Cam will return momentarily.

 
Friday, October 5th, 5:30pm -  The music's blasting the boats are floating and a general party atmostphere has developed.  The Ray and JK show, aka Cheech and Chong started up this afternoon with Ray teasing JK over the PA about his sailing skills.

Friday, October 5th, 4:15pm -  17 sailors registered so far and approximately 30 registered for tonight's dinner at Veronica's.   Heavy duty practice going on now as can be see via the Pirate cam.  Its fun watching different folks trying to use the camera, gyrating wildly at first and then settling down to watch the action on the water. 
Friday, October 5th, 2:45pm -  5 folks registered by 2:45pm and practice sailing is occurring on the barge.  The forecast calls for Friday, Sat and Sunday to have 5 to 10 mph winds out of the SE which is perfect for Victoria's on Woodlawn.   Interesting Story: Tom Kern from New Jersey was picked up at the airport this morning by Woodlawn Sailing Clubs official Limo and driver.  See photo below.

Friday, October 5th, 2pm -  Registration officially opens.  Boats will be weighed, sail #'s and frequencies verified, raffle tickets, T-shirts and lunch tickets sold.   Our registration official, Ray Mireles, is off to collect a big flat screen display to entertain the folks on the patio with Pirate Cam videos and score updates and that leaves your webmaster to take on the job of registration.   The Louisiana contengent aka "Team Katrina" is already beging to show.  Gilbert Maclachlan, Al Ross, Collin Ross, Ryan Ross, Bill Ross and Mike Biggs are already sitting on the patio.  Mark Cooper and Chuck Porth from Houston, TX and Mitch Martin from Austin, TX have just arrived as well.    - Eric G.

Frequent write ups, audio files and photos will be posted over the next few days on our website at: http://www.woodlawnsailingclub.org/  So if you couldn't make it by car, plane boat or foot just sit down at  your computer and watch the Alamo Classic Region V Victoria Championship Regatta from home!
