Well Ray you went and did it. Now Achilles, Paris, or CJ (What ever he goes by)is thinking he is big stuff. Here everything was nice and simple and he was even willing to talk to a mid pack hacker like me. Now that the Head Pirate himself acknowledged his presence and moved him up to the top 10. Well lets just say his girlfriend is probably paying hell for this as well as all the rest of his friends. Now I am sure he will want favors. Personal inventations to regattas, private parking and all of that kind of stuff that Hew gets. I even heard he was drafting a letter to ThunderTiger to see if they will sponsor him. He tried to see if he could claim his injury was Katrina caused and if that did not work to see if our government would like to at least pay him for sailing. If that fell threw then he was going to set up a school for handicapped skippers. He knew he could get funding for that. But any way THANKS Ray and crew for checking the scores again and setting things right. It just goes to show that a regatta is not over just because the skippers went home. CJ nice going man! I always knew you would move up. Mid fleet, top half, and now top 10! You make us proud! Plus it is fun to spread all these lies about you. ;)

Ray, Eric and Pirates of Woodlawn! What a great weekend in your city! The weather was fantastic, the competition was great! Even the raffle appeared not to be rigged this year! I only wish that the Dallas pirate, Bob Piper, could have been there to enjoy it in person, and not as a voyeur! Did you know he was such a peeping tom? Eric - I hate that you did not get to sail again this year, but i hope next year you will be able to sail in your nationals. You did an awesoem job in putting 'the pre-show' on, spending yor time in the clubhouse sweating away at the computers. I thank you for your hard efforts Eric! I also want to thank Mark Hogan for his constructing the stairs that allowed us to all safely climb the cement retaining wall a bit easier! Thanks Mark! We, Team Katrina, did manage to bring 8 sailors with us and we all had a wonderful time and look forward to the Frostbite in Houston in January 08! Hop-a-long

OK all you scurvy dogs and scallywags......What wrong the Hacker Forum has been quite....where's the trash! or at least the Thanks to my crew! Did having the Pirate Cam get all the wifes in a tissie?????? You can't hide now! I quess it was good thing we kept the Biker Chics away this year. If the Pirates of Woodlawn don't hear from y'all soon, we just might let the hacker JK enter is almost awarded Doggie Chili next year. I wouldn't let him this year enter, so he got his equal time with Doggie Cam instead. We apologize for any wifes that might of caught a glimps of JK and Muska during the day! Like ever year we here at Woodlawn will add something un-expected. This year was Pirate Cam and CJ Steps. We are currently offering you a forum to voice your suggestions. Noted and will be built for next year will be Dick's Step.(One wider, safer, half-step between the lower platform and the barge for easy up and down stepping!) Just to let you hackers know......Eric and I are both sick and exhausted(literally) this week after putting on this Show, and we loved every minute doing it for ya! This happens every year with both of us......we're fried! But rest assured that we will be back ready to Rock-n-Roll and next years Frostbite '08!!!!!!!! "Interesting Facts for 2007" Round the Rocks Regatta: 31 races,14 boats White Rock '07: 30 races, 25 boats Frostbite '07: 32 races, 31 boats Alamo Classic '07: 30 races, 28 boats Hey who says the Pirates of Woodlawn party to much????!!!!!! Try pulling off 2 regattas in one weekend with light winds and get more than we did! I say we had a great year of racing and fun this year. Let's hear it....who wants more racing and less party? I say bring on "THE SHOW!!!! How about you? Mama Seta loves you all! Thanks for your support! Capt Jack Seta

Sorry pirates, the sails have been given out. However, there seams to be one set that is not being used. I would be willing to donate this set to the cause (if a minimum is meet)for 100 schillings. To purchase these tickets, you must first eat a bowl of Katrina road kill chili. If you barf, you forfit the money and tickets. Kern must also do 20 turns on the knob of a bat, run around the lake, do two biker chicks and sing the star spangled banner in 2 minutes flat in order to purchase tickets. Let the games begin.

Ok it is now time to get serious about this regatta coming up. There are some team Katrina Kathleena Canteena or something like that skippers headed this way. Seems that since they did so well at nationals they want special favors. Something about first choice of the Biker Chicks, first in the chow like, best starts, and clean air to sail in. I says we start out by a little dip in the pond for um. I can not believe they would come in here trying to take the good Captains rightful place away. Theres rules about that kind of stuff. However I says we cut um some slack if they bring a set of Sails to put in for the drawing. Of course this has to be from the secret numbers that Kern has no clue about. Seeing how he always takes home the good stuff.....

Enough talk of this so called Jack fellow as the swamp rats from the bayou are about to take over WSC. There won't be anything left after the invasion except some Texas chili. It doesn't sit will in the gator's belly. However lock up the ladies as we are in search of new ones, as ours have gotten used to all the freebees that Fema gave out. They think everything in Sunday's paper is an invitation to shop on Fema's card. That card stopped working when we opened the envolope. There will be some new faces in the crowd, but don't trust them, as they can be more deceiving than any pirate you have ever seen. Get ready for the invasion.

After so many years adrift Capt. Jack finally made a comeback at this weekend's Round The Rocks Regatta in Austin, TX !!!!!   He was so far ahead of the pack we took to calling him Macky-Jr.

It's got to be Hew's Pinapple sails caus Jacko ain't that good....lol.

You Katrina boy's have reignited the monster!!!!

The Pirates of Woodlawn capture 3 of the top 4 positions at A.M.S.C.'s Round The Rocks Victoria Regatta.  Here are the unofficial final race standings:
1.) Capt. Jack Seta, 50 pts.                  (8.) Ray Mireles, The Gentleman Pirate 247 pts.
2.) Chris Macaluso, 80 pts.                     (9.) Charles Sudduth, 254 pts.
3.) Budman Garcia, 90 pts.                  (10.) Thomas Swann, 264 pts.
4.) Red-Beard The Pirate, 107 pts.     (11.) Vicky-Vic, 305 pts.
5.) Mark Cooper, 116 pts.                     (12.) Jerry McBride, 349 pts.
6.) Phil Geren, 166 pts.                          (13.) Don Keeney, 365 pts.

It is a sorry state of affairs that I write about. Seems the Captain Jack boat yards have not been putting out the cutting edge products they think they are. Sure if you want a 14 pound Vic they can make you one. And it will not break. But if you want to go fast it seems Hew's Pinapple sails are the ticket. The good Captain has started to use those himself, and as of Saturday at Round Rocks was doing quite well. I heard he actually took a couple of bullets? Not sure if that was in the gut or on the score sheet. Only those wonderful updates Red Beard does will tell the story later. Also heard the Dallas club is needing some major practice before they even think about going to the Alamo. Something like 10 boats sailing and their scores have them in the top 15 not top 10? What is up with that??? Houston is kicking butt. If it was not for Captain Jack they would be taking home the hardware. So this just leaves the question of how many orders will Hew receive this week? How many can he get done before October? Will whole Team K help out?

Doesn't anyone do Lymrics anymore...well here's one for Cap'n Jack:

There once was a pirate named Jack,
Who slipped and missed his tack.
He slammed in on port,
Ruining our sport,
And now he’s just known as a hack!!!

HAHAH no one believe it when he said it either... I can honestly say that Ray Seta is a excellent ROLE model... an F-16 is an EXCELLENT ROLL MODEL.... yeeesh... anyway... we may be pirates... but atleast we are LITERATE pirates... Ray doesn't drink... well.. anyway he doesn't drink to excess... (he drinks to get drunk and not one drop more) He doesn't cheat... not ONE person has caught him yet (unlike AJ Foyt) .... for goodness sake... HE'S VICTORIA SKIPPER OF THE YEAR ! what ELSE could you want in a super hero??? (other than Pam Anderson in leather and highheels) So.. heave to, or heave ho, or shove off or go blow chunks (Ray's dog's name is Chunks)

Bluebird, Bluegil or what ever your name is...first of all, Pirates ain't worried about a bunch of Katrina refugees... secondly, stop kidding us with that lame "Capt Jack is so fast" milarchy...lastly...the only person, other than his son, The Dread Pirate Kidd, who would refer to Jack as their hero is JK and he's too far above us all to respond on this type of forum...I mean he's way out there man!!!!! I must therefore conclude that BlueBeard is actually Jack himself, making up a fake character to glorify his own ego...didn't work Jacko....too unbelievable ....lol. The real question is "how will JK perform this year???" A quick review of recent Alamo Classic history show him coming in 3rd in the Inaugrial ACVR and 2nd place in the ACVRII. Will he finally place 1st in the ACVRIII? Remember that these are his home waters in which he's been reigning OD39 Champion for 2 years now in one of the toughest 1 meter classes around..... Gee, I hope I grow up to be like him someday, he's a real hero.....hehehe

Hey now! Those sneaky team katrina boys may just be throwing a curve ball out there, trying to fool us all into thinking they are out sailing sunfish, busted feet, making chili! They are probably siting around laughing at our worry while they are sipping their cocktails and eating alligator stew! We need our own Capt Jack to win the trophy Back! He is such a fast sailor, he is my hero! I wanna grow up to be just like him!

It is great that Hew is sailing other boats and spending less time on his Vic. Also the important information just learned that he is a quitter if the going gets rough. Now all we have to do is get the local Sunfish group to hold a race at the other end of the pond while we are sailing Vics and we should be OK. How can we keep their club posting tid bits of information about Hew that we can use to form our plans. Also which of Als sons is coming? After Ryan taking a top 10 spot last year I am kind of hoping it is Collin that will be joining us. Can we find a couple of younger biker chicks, or do you think the older more experienced would be better. If it is Ryan I wonder if Al would notice our giving him Grog to drink? The simple fact that we don't have a Pirate sitting on top of the throne is a real issue. Plans have to be made, boats have to be tuned, and cheating skills have to be honed. Not much time left....

AS PRESIDENT of the RAY SETA FAN club I PROTEST the unfounded comments about Ray's computer equipment. I have it on good authority that the emails printed on the back of the telegrams from Lincoln to Hooker were done PRIOR to Ray's printer being serviced, so you can't blame his poor performance at Chancellorsville on Ray. Ray is seriously committed to preserving the enviroment and is hanging onto his Commodore 64 (DELUXE VERSION!) to prevent any further needless expansion of the landfill. Furthermore his string and tincan from the 200 baud modem are BIO-DEGRADEABLE... not to mention it works better than VISTA (eeewwwwwww....) So KNOCK IT OFF !

Eric, I have tried to post on the blogger page but cannot find any where to join or post. So my question is, "who can participate in the Chili Cook-off? Is it Woodlawn this year or another club or anyone who want too? Just wondering because whoever it is has a long way to go to beat Alamo Classic's 1st Annual Chili Cook-off hosted by LLYCA. Good luck!

San Antonio was made for families. You could spend a month down here and never run out of fun things to see and do. I’ve listed some of the local attractions that might be of interest to you at this address: http://www.woodlawnsailingclub.org/ACVRIII/links.htm . Many a happy sailor has brought their family along with them to our regattas. Extra meal tickets can be purchased and Woodlawn park has a new play ground for the younger children. Also, the park is fairly close to downtown and other local attractions so Mamma and the kiddos can go out on day time excursions while Dad’s sailing.

Maybe if Cap'n Jacko plugged the great big hole in the bottom of the Pearl she wouldn't be so slow. Once around the buoys and she's about sunk!!!!! It might also help if he'd replace her sag'n sails, throw out here cracked haul and dump her twisted keel.   I guess if that doesn't appeal to the High Pirate Lord then he could just sand down his rudder a bit more....Yeah, that might make up for it.....lol.
