Day 3
Reports
for The Alamo Classic Victoria Regatta
|
October 9th, 2006, 6:04pm
- Sunday's Synopsis:
I can't
tell you how much drama going into the last
race, but let's just say that that every skipper
waiting on
shore till the end was feeling it. Going
into the last race of the day we had a two way
tie for first and second and another two tie for
third and fourth. The last race
was going to sort it all out. I won't go into
details for ya till you can see the final
posting of the race by race results on the
Woodlawn's website because at this point I'm a
bit fried and getting ready for our
un-official/official dinner at the Alamo Cafe at
7pm with the winner. But I just wanted to give
you a teaser and the top
five finishers of the 2005 Alamo Classic. 1st Place = Ron "Forrest" Stephanz, Alabama 2nd Place = Charles Sudduth , Texas 3rd Place = John "JK" Kuc, Texas 4th Place = Ray "Capt. Jack" Seta, Texas 5th Place = Bruce Pyles, Washington An unbelievable second day of sunshine, temps in the upper 70's, winds back to our normal 5-10mph from the south and a spot on RD wind all the marks and starts. I'm sure in the next few days you might hear some more comments from other skippers who have all been cursed with the "Pirates of Woodlawn" gold coins. And only an attendance to the 2nd annual Alamo Classic Victoria Regatta will break the curse. So to all who came, Thanks and for all that just kept up on the website..Thanks for popping in on the WSC website. Results, Photos, and special reports can be found on www.woodlawnsailingclub.org in the next few days I'm sure after Eric gets some sleep. Good Winds & See Ya'll next year......
