- Friday's Synopsis: The Alamo Classic
has started with about 16 of the 28 skippers
checking in for Fridays practice at the
venue. With the passing of a recent cool
front, the temps stayed in the 50's today with a
nice north wind (first time this year for
both!). Weather this weekend is scheduled
to be sunny and clear with light north winds and
plenty of Mexican food. Some of
ya'll might of noticed that Woodlawn website
was down for the past 35 hours, and it was quite
a scare for Eric and me. Of
all days to shut down the server for routine
maintenance, it had to be yesterday. Well
Eric's quick thinking and sweet talking
the server folks, they got us back online today
around noon. One way or the other the show would
go on! So continue to check the
website for updates and photos as the
weekend sails on. But don't forget it
might be a long night tomorrow since the
Dallas boys are feeding us with the Chili
cook-off. And this is on top of the Texas
BBQ we serving everyone for lunch.
Like it's written in the Sailing Instructions
for Woodlawn Regattas, "Nobody goes home hungry!
